Parallel computing tools get new versions
[EEIOL] Looking beyond the desktop to larger computing resources, The MathWorks support for third-party schedulers, which now includes Microsoft HPC Server 2008, allows cluster administrators to integrate MathWorks parallel computing tools into existing distributed computing environments. Once the application is programmed, users can scale to larger resources, such as clusters and grids, without having to modify the code by relying on MATLAB Distributed Computing Server.

David Pallmann's Blog: Grid Computing on the Azure Cloud Computing ...
[David Pallmann's Blog] But that's changing: grid computing is getting more and more scrutiny for general business problems, and the onset of cloud computing is going to accelerate that. Computing tasks do not have to be gargantuan to benefit from a grid computing approach, nor are compute-intensive tasks the only kind of work eligible for grid computing.

Sun Grid engine tight integration for Intel mpi - Intel® Software ...
[Intel Software Network forums feed] However the MPDs that got started are totally independent precesses and are not forked children of SGE. The problem comes when i type qdelete or try to delete my job or kill it as it is running. At this point SGE will killl all its forked children. But it know nothing about the MPD deamos. As a result after SGE deletes, kills, and cleans up my job I still have this running around on all the nodes that ran the mpi job:
