Gridget > Happenings at Digipede
[West Coast Grid] In addition to the Digipede booth, the Microsoft booth, and the HP booth, there was an "HP/Microsoft break room;" a place for private meetings with customers. They had built a screaming little 16-processor cluster (Microsoft CCS and Digipede Network on ProLiant servers with dual Opterons), and they were showcasing Excel Services, our software, and the interoperability thereof.

[Powers Unfiltered] Digipede at SIA ” Big show, big partners, big n... : Located entirely within the New York Hilton at 1335 Avenue of the Americas (between 53rd and 54th Streets), there are 7000+ attendees, and apparently an equal number of booths. There are booths in the ballrooms, booths in the exhibit halls, booths in the hallways, booths in the pretty much every location but the restrooms (and they crowd right up against those, too).
[West Coast Grid] SIA Tomorrow: having them present us in their booth here at SIA represents a new level of cooperation. The Financial Services team at Microsoft has been terrifically supportive”and very excited about what the Digipede Network gives them.
[Powers Unfiltered] New York, New York: I’m at the Securities Industry Association (SIA) Technology Management Conference at the Hilton in midtown Manhattan this week. I took the redeye on JetBlue last night to make it to a meeting that’s been canceled, I’ve been ineptly “helping” Dan and Nathan set up the Digipede booth (#4506), and have not slept in exactly 24 hours, but I’m STILL in a great mood because I LOVE NEW YORK!
[West Coast Grid] (Not) Blogging from SC05: One thing that made this show very different than Supercomputings past was Microsoft's large presence. They probably had the most floor space of any exhibitor: one large booth for themselves, and another devoted to Microsoft partners.
[Expert Texture] More from the PDC05 Day -3+: Not only did I get some technical issues resolved, but some good ideas for how to further enhance our product and its integration with different Microsoft products. And even better, now I have met many of the Program Managers that will help me if/when we have any difficulties.
