Windows is losing users
[CIO Grid Computing] Microsoft Windows continued its long term gradual slide as the operating system's usage share dropped by about a third of a point. That was despite Windows 7 posting a second straight month of impressive gains, according to web metrics .

Secure Computing Rolls Out SafeWord 2008
[Dark Reading: Dark Reading News Feed] Weve been upgrading our Microsoft Windows infrastructure, so we see Secure Computing's SafeWord 2008 as the right authentication product at the right time, said Pascal Raemy, senior consultant at Asecus. The installation and upgrade were very smooth and have shown us greater benefit from investment in Active Directory, as well as increased security for Terminal Services and other critical Microsoft apps and tools.

Microsoft gets on the grid | Tech News on ZDNet
[News.zdnet.com] Microsoft's main product in the grid computing area is Windows Server 2003 Compute Cluster Edition, which aims to be a more viable alternative to Linux. Happenings at Digipede
[West Coast Grid] In addition to the Digipede booth, the Microsoft booth, and the HP booth, there was an "HP/Microsoft break room;" a place for private meetings with customers. They had built a screaming little 16-processor cluster (Microsoft CCS and Digipede Network on ProLiant servers with dual Opterons), and they were showcasing Excel Services, our software, and the interoperability thereof.
